Living in and loving Cape Town for the last 20 odd years I have missed amazing events due to not knowing about them. I lacked a comprehensive single source guide on all events in Cape Town, organized in a fashion that allows filtering meaningfully to one’s own preferences. This augmented by a service section (emergency numbers, weather, public transport options etc.)
So I created this to enable everybody to know what is happening in Cape Town on any given day or number of them. This is a starting point, the site will grow Business events to go live around mid December – Art Exhibitions (coming mid Jan 2025), Lifestyle Wellness (coming end of Dec 2024), Food Drinks Events (coming end Jan 2025), Sports Events (coming Feb 2025), City of Cape Town (coming end Dec 2024).
I am not creating own content on the events shown. I am collating the information from all available avenues. All sources will be correctly quoted, both in terms of images and text (in most cases that is the website hosting the event)
I have provided for people to add their own events, enabling any person hosting an event/exhibition/party to enter their events on this site. And there is a whatsapp link to send me quick
messages of events, be it a snapshot of a poster, photo of an article, or even a text message.
So this can become a beautiful collaboration of many, to make this the definitive information portal about all things Cape Town. Also each event can easily be shared on various social media channels.
